FINDING ALYX
Finding Alyx is a pilot episode about a child who learns the art of self expression through his alternative neighbors. Finding Alyx is a work in progress and is still being animated. We are projected to finish production at the end of 2023.
I am incredibly confident in this project and excited to share it with you!
CHARACTERS
ALYX BLANK
Alyx is our main character. Alyx is a quiet kids who's afraid of expressing himself. His new neighbors, The Rosarios, help him learn that it's okay to confidently live life as your true self.
My hope with Alyx is to teach kids who are too afraid to speak up for themselves how to stand their ground, set boundaries, and ask for what they need.
ODIN ROSARIO
Odin is Alyx's new friend and neighbor. Odin is a very affectionate free spirit. He hopes to travel the world when he graduates high school.
PHOENIX ROSARIO
Phoenix is an autistic six year old who has an excitable love for life. She loves changing up her style based on her favorite characters.
Her design was inspired by The Cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland, Frodo from Lord of the Rings and Link from Legend of Zelda.
ANDROMEDA ROSARIO
Mrs. Rosario is Odin and Phoenix's mom. She stays at home to renovate the new house. Andromeda is a kind and patient woman.
Andromeda exists to show kids that adults may seem perfect or well put together, but they're people too. People with struggles and big emotions.
I also hope to de-stigmatize traditional witchcraft with her character.
EDISON ROSARIO
Edison is married to Andromeda and is Phoenix and Odin's dad. He's a real estate agent who loves inventing things and working on heavy machinery. His favorite style is right out of a post-apocalyptic sci fi movie.
Edison tries his best to be a good dad but usually finds himself overwhelmed and socially lost.
SHERYL BLANK
Sheryl is Alyx's mom. Sheryl owns her own small business bakery. She loves Alyx, but tends to put him in a box before he has the chance to express himself.
Sheryl may seem like a basic mother but her character exists to show the audience how the cycle of family trauma affects every generation.
JORGE BLANK
Jorge (pronounced Hor-hey) Blank is Alyx's father. He's an openminded and energetic man who loves his family but often forgets to check in on Alyx to see how he’s doing. Jorge works for a non-profit nature preservation organization.
As a Hispanic creator, I was pretty tired of "is Hispanic" being a punchline. I wanted to give modern cartoons more latine representation that wasn't a caricature played for laughs.
ORION TITUS
Ori is Andromeda's little sibling. They are a talented non-binary artist and created most of the art that's decorating the Rosario home.
Ori and Andromeda have a bit of a rocky relationship but both try their best to be there for the other sibling.

BACKGROUNDS AND ENVIRONMENTS
The overall vibe of the show is supposed to be relaxing, safe, and comfortable. I achieve that by using warm, less saturated colors in hopes to make it sensory friendly. More to come soon!
